The AIA Group Limited, ranking first on the list of the largest companies in Hong Kong by market cap, more commonly referred to simply as AIA, is a global insurance and financial firm headquartered in Hong Kong. It is the most influential life insurance company traded on public exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region. It offers life insurance policies for people and corporations, accident and health insurance policies, retirement planning, wealth management services, variable contracts, investments, and securities. Additionally, it offers insurance and financial services.
AIA has a presence in 18 markets across Asia and the Pacific, with wholly-owned branches and subsidiaries in Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Macau, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar, Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, in addition to a 49% joint venture in India. AIA's headquarters are located in Central, Hong Kong. Citibank and AIA have been partners in an exclusive bancassurance arrangement since 2013, and it now covers 11 of AIA's territories in the Asia-Pacific region.
AIA became the official partner of the Tottenham Hotspur football club in August 2013, when the team was still competing in the English Premier League. In May 2017, AIA's deal with Tottenham was extended until the 2021/22 Premier League season. In July 2019, the contract's expiration date was extended again, this time all the way to the end of the 2026/27 season.
