The company Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing provides services in the areas of market data, clearing, settlement, and a depository for securities, as well as trading. The primary focus of the company's activities is the management of stock exchanges. Five distinct business divisions make up the Company's overall operations.

The Cash sector is comprised of a wide variety of securities that are traded on the Cash Market platforms, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The Equity and Financial Derivatives section consists of derivatives products and other activities linked to them that are traded on the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE) and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK).

And the activities of the London Metal Exchange (LME) are included as part of the Commodities division. The Clearing division incorporates the business activities of several different clearing houses, including Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited, the SEHK Options Clearing House Limited, HKFE Clearing Corporation Limited, over-the-counter (OTC) Clearing Hong Kong Limited, and LME Clear Limited. Users are given access to the platform and infrastructure of the Company through the Platform and Infrastructure division.
