Airbus A380
The Airbus A380 is the world's largest passenger plane and one of the heaviest, weighing about 1.3 million pounds. Unless you're Prince Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia, who ordered one at the Dubai Air Show in 2007, its vast size makes it a rare choice for premium private planes.
Despite the fact that he did not use the massive private plane, it made headlines as a flying mansion. And that's not an exaggeration: the interior design of this luxury plane comprised a vehicle garage, a Turkish bath, and two decks of living and working space. An exclusive VIP house was also located on the top deck.
In its initial configuration, the A380 could carry 555 passengers in three classes or 853 passengers in single-class economy. Then, in May 2007, Airbus began offering a configuration with 30 fewer people (525 total in three classes) in exchange for 370 kilometers of additional range, in order to better match premium-class accommodation patterns. The A380 type has a design range of 15,700 kilometers, allowing it to fly nonstop from Hong Kong to New York or Sydney to Istanbul. The A380 is built to withstand 19,000 cycles.
