Altered Carbon (2018 - 2020)

Based on Richard K. Morgan's 2002 novel of the same name, Altered Carbon is a cyberpunk television series produced in America by Laeta Kalogridis. The first season consists of ten episodes and premiered on Netflix on February 2, 2018. The second season of eight episodes was renewed and it premiered on February 27, 2020.

In the cyberpunk world of Altered Carbon, human consciousnesses can be transferred into different bodies. Takeshi Kovacs, an investigator and a former soldier, is transported into the bodies of Joel Kinnaman in season 1 and Anthony Mackie in season 2. Kovacs' story begins with him solving a murder, then going on a quest to discover what happened to his own lost love The show was canceled after two seasons despite receiving largely favorable reviews.
