Angel Falls
Angel Falls is a waterfall in Venezuela. At 979 meters (3,212 ft) high and 807 m (2,648 ft) deep, it is the tallest continuous waterfall in the world. The waterfall falls from the edge of Mount Auyantepui in Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Gran Savannah region of Bolivar Province. The 979 m (3,212 ft) elevation consists primarily of major cliffs, but consists of approximately 400 m (1,300 ft) inclined cascades and sub-bluff rapids and 30 m (100 ft) downstream cliffs.
Waterfall is at the junction of the Kerepakupay Meru River, which flows into the Churun River, a tributary of the Carrao River, which itself is a tributary of the Orinoco River.
Angel Falls is the most beautiful and tallest waterfall in the world. Estimated height is 3212 feet. He is also known as Salto Angel, the name given to him in Spanish. It is located in Canaima National Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was first founded in the 19th century by Ernesto De Santa Cruz and is also named after American pilot Jimmy Angel.
