Arafat's Tomb
Located a short walk from the center of Ramallah, Arafat's Tomb is decorated with ornate Arabic calligraphy and also has a mosque that is part of the complex. The guards are very friendly and welcoming. For now, there's little to see other than the complex itself and the decorated tomb.
This is a relatively new museum - it is also located on the same site as the mausoleum of the late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat, a mosque, and "al muqatara" is the building of the current Palestinian Authority. Both Arafat's mausoleum and the museum are resistance monuments to the Palestinian struggle.
The inclusion of Yasser Arafat's Tomb represents the appreciation of the Palestinian people and that his spirit and love will always be around us. He was buried in Ramallah against his wish to be buried in Jerusalem, because of Israel's restrictions regarding national security. Arafat's Tomb is considered the sixth most beautiful historical site in Palestine.
