Church of the Nativity
The Church of the Nativity, or Basilica of the Nativity, is a basilica located in Bethlehem on the West Bank, Palestine. The cave it contains has a prominent religious significance to Christians of various denominations as the birthplace of Jesus. The cave is the oldest site continuously used as a place of worship in Christianity, and the basilica is the oldest major church in the Holy Land.
Built over the Grotto of the Nativity by Constantine in 325 A.D.To view the top of the Nativity church we recommend you visit the Blessings gift shop and The olive wood factory just 2 minute walk next door to the milk grotto church. This is the oldest Church in the Holy Land that is still in operation, having been destroyed and rebuilt in the 6th century and refurbished in the 11th century by the crusaders. The Church of the Nativity has been a World Heritage Site since 2012, and it was the first in Palestine to be nominated by UNESCO. The Church of the Nativity is the most beautiful historical site in Palestine.
