Arthdal Chronicles (2019)

The people of the old city of Arthdal in the legendary land of Arth face power battles, while some find love along the road. In this scene, Song Joong Ki morphs into the male lead Eun Seom, who goes through struggles to resurrect his tribe and discovers his actual roots in the process.

The ambitious series was Korea's first historical fantasy, and it drew a large cast that included Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ji Won, Kim Ok Bin, and many others. Song Joong Ki distinguishes among them by portraying two opposing characters: the courageous yet naïve Eun Seom and his brother, the crafty and cold Saya. This is a beautiful series, both in terms of visuals and contents, and is a unique project amid the K-drama land.
