Babbel
Babbel GmbH, doing business as Babbel, is a German subscription-based language learning software and e-learning platform that has been in operation since January 2008. Babbel announced in August 2017 that it had teamed with Cambridge English Language Assessment to develop a low-cost online English test. The test measures the reading and listening abilities of beginning and intermediate pupils (up to level B1 and above of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Every test has approximately 70 questions drawn from a library of hundreds of possibilities that, like Babbel's lesson content, reflect real-life communicative scenarios, such as radio broadcasts and conversations for listening skills.
Using brief quizzes and mini-games, Babbel allows you to practice new vocabulary and grammar. Babbel emphasizes on repetition, assisting you in remembering new words and concepts by frequently reminding you of them through audio, videos, visuals, and tasks. You can even improve your speaking skills with the speech recognition tool. At any point, you can change which route you're taking. Finish classes to gain access to further learning opportunities. Babbel truly makes learning English fun. You can collect rewards, compete against friends and set a weekly goal for yourself to finish. There are also actual games you can play if you want to take a break from the normal sessions.
