Barn owls

There are more than 200 species of owls in the order of birds known as owls, which is a subgroup of birds of prey. Their huge head, keen vision, hearing, solitary nature, sharp talons, and nocturnal habits are what make them unique. Similar to rats, owls are nocturnal creatures. The number of rodents (mice, rats, rabbits, bison, etc.) directly affects the number of owls. They also frequently consume smaller birds, insects, mammals, fish, and other aquatic life.

The Barn Owl (Tyto alba), which has been spotted on six continents and several islands, has one of the broadest ranges of any terrestrial bird. As suggested by its name, it prefers to reside in barns since it can easily reach the rodents there. Because their feathers are so delicate, owls often have the ability to fly quietly. In comparison to rats' excellent hearing, this is a benefit. Rats are often not heard flying, thus owls often capture them by surprise. Owls can monitor their prey and surprise it with a surprise attack because of their silent flying. Barn owls have great hearing and night vision. They may either fly low in search of prey or wait for it from a perch. They will swoop down on anything they discover and seize it. Therefore, the Barn Owls are one of the predators of rats that eat rats popularly.
