BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is the first English language boarding school in Germany, welcoming about 80 boarding students from various countries for Grades 9 to 12. Located at the heart of the campus, the BBIS Boarding house creates a comfortable and supportive environment for our students' personal and academic growth. Boarding students reside in cozy two-person rooms, each equipped with an ensuite bathroom. Room assignments consider factors like gender, grade, and home language, with occasional single rooms available for Grade 12 students. Community kitchens on every level foster a sense of togetherness.
Boarding students gather for meals in the central dining room, enjoying daily breakfast and dinner, and brunch on weekends. Weekday lunches are shared with day students in our school cafeteria. As a leading International Baccalaureate (IB) school, BBIS proudly offers three IB programs—Primary, Middle, and Diploma years - to students from over 70 countries and a wide range of extracurricular activities.
The school day runs from 8:00 am to 2:55 pm, offering various diplomas such as the IB Diploma, IB Career-related Certificate, BBIS High School Diploma, and MYP Certificate/Mittlerer Schulabschluss (MSA). BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School provides a school bus service with nine buses to Berlin/Potsdam and two late bus services. The Student Support Services include a School Psychologist, English as an Additional Language (EAL), School Counseling, Careers and College Guidance Counseling, Learning Support, and Health Service.
