Cologne International School
Cologne International School, a recognized and accredited IB World School, guides approximately 475 students from 1st grade to graduation in the current school year. Situated on the international campus north of Cologne, students in grades 1 to 5 engage in bilingual learning, combining the North Rhine-Westphalian curriculum with the international IB-PYP curriculum. The bilingual International Secondary School aids students in achieving the International Baccalaureate.
The innovative educational concept, focusing on holistic development, offers diverse learning opportunities tailored to each student. Additionally, the school provides a flexible full-day program with early morning care and various after-school activities until 5:30 pm. The small and modern boarding school on the campus caters to students aged 15, allowing them to reside in Cologne independently and complete their school career successfully.
Cologne International School offers a full-day program with care available from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm as needed. Mandatory school hours are from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, extending to 5:00 pm in grades 11 and 12. In grades 1 to 5, students are offered a second breakfast and a hot lunch upon request. From grade 6 onwards, a hot lunch is provided, and options for self-catering in the morning and afternoon are available.
The Boarding House of Cologne International School features a modern design with ample daylight, accommodating up to 20 students. Rooms include single options with a private bathroom, a single room with a shared bathroom, or a double room with a shared bathroom. All apartments are equipped with WIFI and fully furnished with essential items. Bare necessities such as bedding, sheets, towels, and kitchenware are provided. The building includes an expansive rooftop terrace where students can enjoy the view in deck chairs. A standard room with a kitchen fosters a sense of community, providing a space for boarders to meet, cook, and eat together.
