BDO
BDO is a multinational network of public accounting, tax, consulting, and business advice businesses that operate under the BDO brand. BDO includes member companies in 167 countries, employs around 91,000 partners and staff in over 1,658 locations worldwide, and is the world's fifth-biggest accounting network as of 2020.
Each BDO member firm operates as a separate legal entity in its nation. BDO Global Coordination B.V., with an office in Zaventem, Belgium, coordinates the network, which was founded in 1963 as Binder Seidman International. BDO is an acronym for Binder Dijker Otte & Co., which was founded in 1973. In 2009, all BDO member firms changed their names to BDO.
BDO was believed to be quickly developing in China in early 2012. It employs 7,500-8,000 people in mainland China and Hong Kong, making it the second-largest employer after the United States, where it employs 11,500 people. According to its worldwide chairman, the Chinese workforce will likely surpass that of the United States within three to four years.
