EY
EY, or Ernst & Young Global Limited, is a worldwide professional services network headquartered in London, England. EY is one of the world's leading professional services networks. It is one of the Big Four accounting companies, along with Deloitte, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
EY primarily serves its clients with assurance (including financial audit), tax, consultancy, and advising services. In recent years, EY, like many of the bigger accounting firms, has expanded into sectors other than accounting, such as strategy, operations, human resources, technology, and financial services consulting.
EY operates as a network of member companies established as separate legal entities in a partnership, with 312,250 workers in over 700 offices in more than 150 countries. The present partnership of the business was founded in 1989 by the merging of two accounting companies, Ernst & Whiney and Arthur Young & Co. It was known as Ernst & Young until a rebranding drive in 2013 officially changed the name to EY. However, this initialism had previously been used informally before its regulatory acceptance.
