Beauty and The Beast
In "Beauty and The Beast", bright, attractive, and independent Belle (played by Emma Watson) is trapped by a beast (played by Dan Stevens) in his castle. Despite her worries, she tries to make friends with the castle's magical servants and learns to see beyond the Beast's horrible appearance. This enabled her to see through the prince's gentle heart and spirit that lies inside.
Despite adhering to the animated film's concept of the love between Belle and the Beast, this live-action adds more origin tales to the Beast's transformation and the location of Belle's mother. Outside of the acknowledged truth that he is not a man anymore, the Beast's new storylines add to the depths of his grief and provide a deeper explanation for why he is so furious and sorrowful. Also, the origin story of Belle's mother is tragic but logical, clearly explaining how she died and why she was not the focus of the animated picture.
You might add "Beauty and the Beast" to the long list of competent Disney live-action adaptations. Even if it is inferior to the 1991 classic, it is still one of the best modern fairy tale movies - another proof that Disney can never do things wrong.
