Each day, more than a dozen distinct oysters from the East and West Coasts are offered, all of which come with a wonderful Prosecco mignonette. The expert staff can advise you on your options, explain the unique characteristics of each species of oyster, and suggest complementary wines from the large wine list. With a reservation, guests can enroll in shucking workshops to learn how to open oysters and savor the results with champagne if they want to take their addiction to the next level.

Barbara Lynch's underground South End restaurant, which offers a daily selection of more than a dozen various east and west coast oysters, might be the best option. All of the traditional prepared fare is offered, including fried Ipswich clams and two renowned lobster sandwiches: the traditional lobster roll and the lobster BLT.
