Bic

Société Bic SA, or Bic, is a company based in Clichy, France - one of the best renowned for producing disposable consumer products such as lighters. It was established by Baron Marcel Bich in 1945. Bic is a versatile company that manufactures all types of lighters. The company has rolling cigarette lighters, windproof lighters, and lighters for kitchen use or normal lighting.

As the tagline "more for your money," Bic's production stance is that it's a good buy for the money. They offer lighters at regular prices and also have some above-average professional lighters. According to a customer survey, with safe and durable designs make the Bic lighter the second choice for customers.

In 1970, Gillette purchased ST Dupont Paris, whose main product was a luxury cigarette lighter. During this time, Dupont researched the abilities of advertising a disposable lighter and, from then, developed an inexpensive lighter called the Cricket. Late in the year there, Bic experimented with marketing a disposable lighter that could supply 3,000 lights before use; Bic introduced this lighter in 1973. The Bic disposable lighter was extremely dominant and still exists today.
