BlackBerry
The Canadian software firm BlackBerry Limited focuses on security. Having started out as RIM (Research in Motion) in 1984, the company has since changed its name. Previously known as Research in Motion, it is responsible for creating the BlackBerry line of touchscreen mobile devices. Under CEO John S. Chen's leadership, the company refocused on providing cybersecurity software and services to large organizations.
Businesses, automakers, and government organizations all utilize its wares to shield themselves from cybercriminals and ransomware. BlackBerry AtHoc, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BlackBerry Unified Endpoint Manager), and the QNX real-time operating system are all examples. BlackBerry Cylance provides cyber-security solutions based on artificial intelligence.
BlackBerry was established in 1984 by Mike Lazaridis and Douglas Fregin under the name Research in Motion. John S. Chen has served as CEO since November 2013. Since then, he has concentrated Blackberry's transformational approach on software solutions and cyber security.
