Blackwater Waterfall - Davis, West Virginia
Blackwater Falls in West Virginia. The waterfall here is an unusual amber tint. The tannins in hemlock and spruce leaves make the water appear to be reflected in stained glass, which is also how the waterfall got its name. In Blackwater Falls State Park, the black waters of the uniquely called Blackwater cascade down five stone steps into the river below.
The waterfall may be seen from various points across the park, and the amber water foams throughout the canyon's 12km length. The tourism area is available all year and features beautiful wildflowers, panoramic views, and winters that pass through it. The magnificent scenery at Blackwater Waterfall is a popular photographing location for both tourists and photographers.
