Less than 1.6 kilometers from the trailhead, the falls can be seen from the footbridge. There are two turns on the other side of the bridge. The Mist route, which has 600 granite steps that serve as a "huge natural stairway" ascending to the top of the 97-meter-high Vernal Falls, is open to adventurous hikers. For those who enjoy adventures, this will be a thrilling one.
According to a National Park official, Vernal Waterfall is still one of the most popular waterfalls despite years of drought because a glacier and a stream of water enhance the amount of water that comes from snowmelt. due to a lack of rain, several of the park's other waterfalls have dried up and are no longer in use.
