Brackley Beach, located just outside of Charlottetown, is one of Prince Edward Island's nicest beaches and one of the most beautiful beaches in Canada as well. The golden sands stretch for miles and are backed by massive sand dunes. The beach is perfect for families with little children because the surf is generally mild.
Long shallow approaches to the swimming areas are ideal for wading, water football, or Frisbee. Although the water warms up in the summer, the temperature is still considered "refreshing" by many.
The beach is located in the National Park of Prince Edward Island. The Gulf Shore Way is one of the greatest recreational options in the park. This paved route runs along the beach and into the sand dunes. Because of the level, solid sand, beach strolling and running are very popular.
