Parlee Beach
Top 7 in Top 10 Best Beaches In Canada
Parlee Beach Provincial Park brags of having the hottest saltwater beach in the country. The coastal village of Pointe-du-Chene is about 20 minutes from downtown Moncton. During the cherished warm summer days of July and August, the beige beaches stretch for one kilometer and are filled with residents and visitors.
The shallow water stretches into the ocean, and as the tide recedes, the beach expands, forming warm pools that are ideal for children. Throughout the summer, lifeguards monitor the beach. Many families visit Parlee Beach throughout the summer and stay for a week or more at the lovely campsite. Over 200 sites, both serviced and unserviced, are within a 10-minute walk of the beach.
Shediac, a neighbouring town, promotes itself as the world's lobster capital, and people are so proud of it that they created a massive lobster monument measuring 11 meters long by five meters broad and weighing 90 tons.
