Brazil's full legal name is the Federative Republic of Brazil, Which is considered the largest country in both South America and Latin America when it has a total area of more than 8.5 million square kilometers, equivalent to 3,300,000 sq mi and with over 211 million people. Brazil's capital is Brasília, however, the most populous city in Brazil is São Paulo. Brazil has about 26 states and the Federal District and most people speak Portuguese as a primary language.
