Brian A. Crane, QC
Brian Crane, a fellow at the American College of Litigation Lawyers, is a partner in the Gowling WLG office in Ottawa. As a senior member of the advocacy law group, he focuses on constitutional, administrative and indigenous law.
Brian has practiced in the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Courts, and the Courts of Ontario. He has worked extensively in land claims negotiation, municipal contracts and related litigation, arbitration and mediation. A full member of the Canadian Bar Association, Brian has chaired attorneys on Parliamentary Reform, Federal Judiciary, Federal Court Reform, Supreme Court of Canada and Civil Justice Reform.
He is appointed Advisor to the Queen in 1977 and Officer of Civil Disputes in 1988. In 1993, he was elected a member of the American Judicial Bar Association. Brian was recognized by Chambers Global as a Senior Politician for Indigenous Law.
