Ronald E. Dimock
Ron Dimock is one of Canada's leading intellectual property law enforcement officers, arbitrators and arbitrators. Recognized by Chambers as an “expert in Canadian intellectual property law”, Ron has practiced for 40 years as an attorney in landmark Canadian patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, including more than 50 federal court cases and 30 appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada and other Courts of Appeal. He also distinguished himself by participating in more patent proceedings and appeals than any attorney in Canada.
In 1994 Ron co-founded Dimock Stratton LLP. Dimock Stratton LLP has become a leading figure in Canadian intellectual property litigation and has been regularly voted one of Canada's best IP boutiques. Throughout his
career, Ron has been a prolific writer and speaker on a variety of intellectual property and advocacy topics. He also built a worthy career as a teacher. For more than 20 years, he has taught Master's in Intellectual Property at York University's Osgood Hall Law School, where he continues to lecture on patent law each year. He has also previously taught at Queen's University and McGill University.
Ron complements litigation by serving as an arbitrator and arbitrator in intellectual property disputes, and as an expert witness in Canadian intellectual property law and practice from his office at DIMOCK.
