British American Tobacco
British American Tobacco plc (BAT) is a British multinational corporation that makes and distributes cigarettes, tobacco, and other nicotine products. The company was founded in 1902 and is based in London, England. In terms of net sales, it is the world's largest tobacco corporation as of 2019. BAT operates in around 180 countries and sells cigarettes under the brands Dunhill, Kent, Lucky Strike, Pall Mall, and Rothmans. Its other brands include Vype, Vuse, and Glo.
BAT was established in 1902 and listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1912. Since its inception in 1984, it has been a constituent of the FTSE 100, and it has evolved to become the sector's sole fully worldwide firm. That transformation is still going on now. That is why the corporation is making some changes: developing new, science-backed products that offer adult smokers less dangerous options.
It intends to establish A Better TomorrowTM with a multi-category portfolio of non-combustible products customized to adult consumers' tastes. The company is developing the brands of the future by becoming a business that identifies itself not by the goods it sells, but by the consumer demands that it serves. The corporation is expanding its portfolio 'beyond nicotine'. This entails providing products that stimulate adult consumers' senses while increasing satisfaction, happiness, and well-being.
