Imperial Brands plc
Imperial Brands plc, headquartered in Bristol, England, is a British multinational tobacco company. It is the world's fourth-biggest international cigarette manufacturer by market share, trailing only Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco, and Japan Tobacco, as well as the world's largest producer of fine-cut tobacco and tobacco sheets.
Imperial Brands manufactures about 320 billion cigarettes each year and operates 51 factories throughout the world, with goods supplied in over 160 countries. Davidoff, West, Gauloises Blondes, Montecristo, Golden Virginia (the world's best-selling hand rolling tobacco), Drum (the world's second-best-selling fine-cut tobacco), and Rizla (the world's best-selling rolling paper) are among its brands.
Andy Dasgupta, Chief Consumer Officer, discusses how they use data to meet unmet requirements: "Our harm reduction journey will take time. But, by staying close to consumers and working in the right way, we will get there one step at a time." Mattia de Dominicis, Global Innovation Director, explains how Imperial is using an innovative approach to generating possibly less dangerous products: "Next generation products are evolving quickly in terms of product and technologies, and traditional ways of working can’t always keep pace."
