Bucharest-Beirut International School (BBIS)
Bucharest-Beirut International School is deeply dedicated to developing students’ capabilities, to help them discover, reveal, and improve their skills and open up. Started in 2003 and endorsed by the Lebanese and Romanian Ministries of Education, it is committed to giving a complete education that is accredited by the Lebanese and Romanian Ministries of Education.
In 2017, the school became an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School approved for the Diploma Programme (DP). In 2021, BBIS got the go-ahead to offer the Primary Years Programme of the IB. When it comes to its curriculum, from Early Years to Year 12, is based on inquiry-based learning. It moves from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) to the Middle Years Programme (MYP), leading to the Diploma Programme (DP). The main part of this curriculum is the IB Learner Profile, which aims to grow lifelong learners and future global citizens.
At BBIS, students can learn in an orderly, safe, and caring environment marked by respect, which promotes positive interpersonal relationships. Many aspects are fostered such as the physical, social, and creative development of each child, recognizing that children learn differently.
