Bucharest Christian Academy (BCA)
BCA is the only fully American international school in Bucharest that follows a holistic education approach—caring for a child’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth—while teaching from a Christian worldview and philosophy of education. Begun in 1993 as a homeschool co-op, Bucharest Christian Academy, an accredited international school, has grown to become a multicultural community located in the heart of Sector 3.
The school aims to prepare students to be creative, critical thinkers, academically prepared for the post-secondary education of their choice, fulfilling God's purpose for their lives personally and vocational. Through the curriculum at school, they unconsciously learn to treasure their sense of worth and acceptance of the worth of others. Following the American-style international system, it also partners with parents by providing formal education following the Statement of Faith, policies, and curriculum.
Besides maintaining high academic standards and goals, Bucharest Christian Academy (BCA) creates a nurturing environment with sufficient structure and discipline to promote effective learning. Students have both enjoyment and discipline when joining various activities, especially activities of mixed genders and ages. These activities not only help them to develop their interpersonal skills but also hone compassion, sharing, and interaction.
