Buckingham Palace
Top 1 in Top 10 Most Expensive Houses
It's not surprising that the world's most expensive home belongs to the world's most famous family, and no, I'm not referring to the Kardashians. Since 1873, the Royal Family has occupied London's most famous residence, which is the epitome of opulence.
It has 775 bedrooms, 78 bathrooms, 19 staterooms, and 92 officers, and has served as an official ship for the monarchy since the late 1800s. The palace is approximately 828, 000 square feet in size, with a 40-acre garden. It was built in the Neoclassical architectural style and designed by several architects over the centuries, but John Nash is the original architect.
Owned by the British Royal Family.
