Buenos Aires
The colorful and glamorous capital of Argentina is invariably where you'll be spending the first bit of time during your visit to the country, as it's the destination of most international flights. Buenos Aires is the political, cultural, and economic center of the country and is home to many of Argentina's most popular tourist attractions. While here, you'll be able to learn authentic Argentine tango dance or stroll through the colorful La Boca district with its many painters, photographers, street murals and other works.
The Recoleta Cemetery, the colorful neighborhoods of La Boca, meandering through the "French" alleyways of Recoleta, and watching a tango show at a milonga are all must-sees in Buenos Aires. After all that sightseeing, you'll need some rest and refueling: indulge in the city's night culture and enjoy its food, wine, and joyful mood. Local empanadas, flan with dulce de leche (my favorite! ), pastelitos, asado, and milanesa de carne...among many more dishes should not be missed!
