Cabo de Palos
On Spain's south coast, the Cabo de Palos area is not far from Murcia and slightly south of Alicante. It is home to the well-known Islas Hormigas Marine Park, which is regarded as one of Spain's best diving destinations.
Divers can visit well-established breeding sites for groupers, barracudas, jacks, morays, tuna, and other indigenous fish on a variety of shore, boat, and wreck dives. There's also a good chance you'll spot eagle rays, octopus, nudibranchs, squid, and the magnificent cuttlefish.
There are approximately ten nearby dive locations from which to pick. Cala Fria, on the very tip of Cabo de Palos, features several wonderful diving sites with intriguing rock formations and swim throughs, as well as a diverse diversity of aquatic life. Overall, it is a great choice for Spanish scuba diving vacations.
