Catholic University of Malawi
The Catholic University of Malawi is a rapidly expanding institution of higher learning that has been accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to provide Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates in a variety of fields of study. It was founded on October 16, 2004 by the Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) and officially opened its doors in 2006. The university's admission policy is selective: only applicants who pass the entrance exams and the interview are accepted into the student body.
The Catholic University of Malawi's mission is to contribute to the nation's integral development through vocational training, academic courses, and research activities that are tailored to meet the critical needs of the nation and the Church. The foundation of the institution is the bedrock Catholic education tradition that has shaped the academic landscape around the world. Furthermore, the primary goal is to educate not only specialists, but also highly spiritual individuals capable of becoming Catholic missionaries in the modern world.
