The story centers around Ye Jiayao, a contemporary chef who is transported back in time to ancient China, assuming the role of a magistrate's daughter. Here, she encounters Xia Chunyu, a former aristocrat turned bandit leader, and gradually falls in love with him. Utilizing her culinary skills, she impresses people and influences the course of history.
The donghua comprises two seasons, with the first airing in 2018 and the second in 2021. Season one comprises 12 episodes, while season two extends to 24 episodes. Published by Yuewen Animation and produced by Wawayu Animation, the donghua is also recognized as "Meng Qi Shi Shen" or "Adorable Food Goddess."
