Columbia Sportswear
The Columbia Sportswear Company is an American business that produces and sells footwear, sportswear, and outerwear in addition to headgear, camping gear, ski gear, and accessories for outerwear. Paul Lamfrom, the father of Gert Boyle, created it in 1938. The corporation has its headquarters in Cedar Mill, an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, which is close to Beaverton and part of the Portland metro region. Due to the jackets' breathable waterproof fabric and removable shells and liners, Columbia experienced a sharp increase in sales.
More than 13,000 merchants and more than 72 countries get Columbia Sportswear's products. Along with running its own retail network, Columbia also has a flagship location in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Columbia Sportswear is involved in the production and distribution of clothes and footwear, just like other sports brands and rivals. Sportswear, outerwear, footwear, snow boots for winter sports, outerwear accessories, camping supplies, headgear, and ski clothing are among the product categories.
