Puma is a global German company with headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany. The third-largest sportswear producer in the world is Puma. Rudolf Dassler, who died in 1974, founded the business in 1948. Rudolf and his brother Adolf "Adi" Dassler founded Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, also known as the "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory," in 1924. The two brothers' relationship deteriorated to the point where they decided to part ways in 1948 and create two distinct companies, Adidas and Puma.
Puma sells goods for athleisure, golf, cricket, racing, jogging, training, and other sports. Pelé, Eusébio, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, Lothar Matthaus, Clyde Frazier, Jim Hines, Boris Becker, Martina Navratilova, Tommie Smith, Joe Namath, Linford Christie, Colin Jackson, Heike Drechsler, and Michael Schumacher are just a few of the athletes it has sponsored.
