Cooper's Island Nature Reserve
Cooper's Island is one of Bermuda's most pure and most picturesque natural attractions. The Animal Observation Tower on Cooper's Island Nature Reserve provides a wonderful vantage point for seeing birds, whales, and other wildlife. The tower, which used to be the base of a radar tower for NASA's Tracking Station, now provides a nearly 360-degree unrestricted view of the Atlantic.
Cooper's Island Nature Reserve, on Bermuda's southern edge, is a calm and unspoiled park with wide walking trails, spectacular views of Castle Harbour, and access to numerous excellent public beaches, including Turtle Bay and Annie's Bay's popular Clearwater Beach.
The majority of the island is now open to the public, including the 12-acre nature reserve, which is part of Bermuda's national park system. This tranquil reserve combines beach and forest, making it ideal for a day of hiking, swimming, picnicking, bird watching, snorkeling, and turtle watching.
