St. David's Island
St. David's Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Bermuda and is part of the British Overseas Territory. It is one of two similar-sized islands that make up the majority of St. George's Parish and is located in the far north of the territory. The island's original size was 503 acres (2.04 square kilometers).
During World War II, it was expanded to 650 acres (2.63 square kilometers) in 1942 by reclamation and the absorbing of Long Bird Island and Cooper's Island to make room for a US military base (originally the US Army's Fort Bell/Kindley Field, which operated jointly with the British Royal Air Force during the war).
St. David's Island, in addition to the beautiful and large beaches surrounded by them to help visitors experience swimming, yachting, and other activities, the attraction of this island is also in the small houses with white tiled roofs, which are the main theme, creating peace, quiet, and relaxation in this place.
