Copa Libertadores

The CONMEBOL Libertadores, commonly known as the Portuguese: Libertadores de América, is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL that has been held since 1960. It is the highest level of club football competition in South America. The event is named after the Libertadores (Spanish and Portuguese meaning liberators), the leaders of South American independence struggles, hence a precise translation of its previous name into English is "America's Liberators Cup."
