Dar Al Hajar
Dar al-Hajar, Yemen's former royal palace in Wadi Dhar, fifteen kilometers from Sana'a, is an architectural marvel that should be on your itinerary. Yemeni ruler Yahya Muhammad Hamid ed-Din, who ruled the kingdom from 1904 to 1948, constructed the place as his summer residence. It stands on the foundation of a 1786 edifice erected for al-Imam Mansour, a Yemeni scholar.
