Jabal Haraz
If you want to see a truly unique mountainous landscape, go to Jabal Haraz and its environs. These mountains produce some of the best coffee and qat in the country. Despite the fact that the area isn't particularly touristy, you may easily spend a weekend hiking and enjoying the landscape. In addition to hiking, the region is also one of Yemen's most conservative. But, no matter what kind of trip you have planned, Jabal Haraz has many gorgeous sites to explore, and here are a few of them.
Yemen's only National Park is the Jabal Haraz mountain range. It is UNESC0-listed and has multiple historic sites. The town also has lovely architecture and a rich cultural legacy. While this distant place presents many problems, it is well worth a visit. What you'll witness will astound you. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a fascinating site to visit.
If you happen to be in the area, make a point of visiting the historical sites. Manakha is a lovely spot to visit. Al-Hajjara, an old fortified cidadel, is located here. The citadel's fortifications are made of red and black sandstone. You can also go to one of the many little communities in the vicinity.
