Seiyun Palace
Seiyun Palace is one of Yemen's most unusual locations. This mud-brick tower is the world's largest, and it's a great site to visit for a day trip or a weekend retreat. Although the city has few tourist attractions, it is an excellent starting point for Shibam, the major purpose for visiting Hadhramaut. It is, after all, the country's tallest mud-brick structure.
The Hadhramout Valley, where the palace is located, is breathtaking. It was occupied by the Sultan of Kathiri throughout the last century. It now functions as an ethnography and archaeology museum. Many exhibits depicting local life, including traditional clothing and weapons, can be found at the museum. There is also a collection of vintage images in addition to the museum. At night, you can also go to the theater to see a movie.
The majestic Sultan's palace in Hadhramaut was built on the site of an earlier fort in the 1920s. It was previously the house of the Sutan of Kathiri and served as a royal residence until the city was destroyed during Yemen's civil war. The museum has become a tourist destination in the last six years. The museum houses the museum's collections of objects and images, despite the fact that it was destroyed during the fighting.
