Diane Sawyer
While at ABC News, Diane Sawyer anchors important programs such as ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, 20/20, and Primetime Newsmagazine. Prior to becoming a journalist, she worked on President Richard Nixon's White House staff and aided with his post-presidency memoirs. She currently works for ABC News, where she produces documentaries and interview specials.
Sawyer has been a trailblazer for female journalists and one of the most known and respected faces in journalism over her 46-year career. But it was her interview with Amanda Knox in 2013 that grabbed the most attention. Another stunning young lady is in her future: Sawyer will do the first U.S. television interview with Malala Yousafzai, the 15-year-old Pakistani student who was shot by the Taliban in October 2012 because she felt girls should have the right to attend school. 2013 HIGHLIGHT: In May, ABC declared that "ABC World News with Diane Sawyer" was having its best season in two years.
