Discover Lost World Caverns
Discover a vast paradise of stalactites and stalagmites as you descend 120 feet below the surface of the Earth. The 1942 discovery of the Lost World Caverns made it a wonderfully spectacular location for explorers of all ages. It is one of the best things to do in West Virginia. It takes about 45 minutes to walk the entire thing. To allow you to explore the cavern at your own speed, we offer self-guided tours. Just be sure to stay on the route. As you tour the half-mile loop, information signs will give you insights about the numerous distinct formations. The cave's temperature never changes, regardless of the weather outside. It's advised to wear good shoes and a light jacket.
