Disney +

Disney+ is an American video-on-demand service owned and operated by the Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International division of The Walt Disney Company. The service was launched in Canada, the United States and the Netherlands on November 12, 2019 and was expanded to Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico 1 week later. Disney+ was also available in select European countries in March 2020 and in India in April of the same year through Disney's Hotstar streaming service (renamed Disney+ Hotstar).

Disney+ will focus on tapping into film and TV content from Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Television. Original movies and TV series based on new and existing productions are also planned, including content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, National Geographic and 20th Century Fox.

The service will compete with other video streaming subscription services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and will complement ESPN+ and Hulu as part of Disney's strategy.
