Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club
The course is placed in the foot of a valley and faces the famed Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, from which it derives its name. Every hole offers mountain vistas, which comes as no surprise given the course's location in China's Himalayas. The course is 3,100 meters above sea level, making it the second highest in the world, and the ball travels 15 to 20% farther than typical due to the height.
The shortest par 3 is 236 yards long, while the other three par 3s are all over 260 yards long. Furthermore, the course's lowest par 4 is 436 yards long, while the par 5 5th hole is the world's longest, reaching 711 yards. On this hole, the air is so thin that oxygen is delivered in the golf carts.
The course was created by Robin Nelson and Neil Haworth, and the two nines have radically distinct characteristics. The front nine resembles a Scottish links course, while the back nine is evocative of a traditional mountain course. Despite the fact that the altitude lets your ball to fly longer, it is still a difficult test of golf, and you will need to center every drive.
So, if you consider yourself a big hitter and want to put your abilities to the test on a monstrously long golf course, give one of them a shot.
