The Pete Dye Course
For a variety of reasons, you may be familiar with this course. To begin with, Pete Dye is a well-known and Hall-of-Fame architect, and his course also hosted the 2015 Senior PGA Championship. Throughout Sky's coverage of the event, you've certainly heard Pete Dye's iconic description of the course, "sketched on a napkin and chiseled into history." It is also "one of the legendary courses," according to Colin Montgomerie, who finished second to Rocco Mediate in the 2015 tournament.
This championship golf course has small, pristine fairways and rocky, dramatic terrain on one of Indiana's highest elevation peaks. The course's 40-mile panoramic views of the southern Indiana countryside, three man-made lakes, 'volcano' bunkers, and diversity of elevation variations have earned it national praise. The course's unending undulations, tall grass, and tough greens make it one of the world's most challenging and longest.
