Painted Valley Course
The Painted Valley Course, created by Jack Nicklaus, is one of two courses at Promontory Golf Club and is often recognized as Utah's most difficult. The links-style course was created by Nicklaus to run beside a stream through Promontory's high-altitude valleys. As you might expect, the course's length favors long drives, but it also has forward tees and wide fairways to make it enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.
The course also has views of Park City's three major ski mountains, which can be seen from nearly every point on the course. The front nine takes you up and down a valley, starting with a monstrous 718-yard par 5, the course's longest hole. The back nine offers several additional lengthy holes, including the 673-yard par-4 12th hole. The course concludes with a 480-yard par four.
