The Ducati Desmosedici D16RR NCR M16 is a road-legal variant of Ducati's Desmosedici MotoGP race bike. The limited edition Ducati Desmosedici D16RR NCR M16 is a road-legal version of the Desmosedici MotoGP race bike. Ducati revealed in 2004 at the World Ducati Week in Misano, Italy, that a low-volume road copy of the Desmosedici was available in early 2006.
A three-year warranty and service, insurance, and a racing kit were included in the price, which featured a race-only exhaust system, a slip-on muffler, and related fuel and ignition programming in a "race ECU." There were enough sponsor stickers to cover both sides of the bike as well. The Desmosedici RR was the first Ducati production bike to feature forged magnesium wheels. Aprilia utilized them on the limited edition RSV Mille SP in 2002. Ducati Desmosedici RR manufacture began in October 2007 and continued until December 2008, with the first customer orders arriving in January 2008.
