Enel Américas
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala are all part of the conglomerate of electric energy firms known as Enel Américas. It produces, transmits, and distributes electric electricity via its affiliates.
By the end of 2022, Enel Américas will have 16,116 MW of net installed capacity, serving more than 23.3 million users. Enel S.p.A., a multinational energy corporation and one of the most integrated operators in the energy sector globally, holds the majority of its stock. As of March 2022, Enel Américas, one of the biggest private enterprises in Latin America, has installed capacity reaching 15,965 MW and served more over 26.3 million consumers.
Enel Américas was reconfirmed in The Sustainability Yearbook in January 2023, an annual research that evaluates the sustainability performance of publicly traded corporations based on a stringent and competitive review. The company has been included in this list since 2019, and this year was recognized for the first time in the Top 5% S&P Global ESG Score category, putting it among the most sustainable corporations in the global power industry.
